Maria Papageorgiou

Maria Papageorgiou was born in Athens, Greece and is currently residing in Braga, Portugal. She is a PhD student at University of Minho majoring in International Relations and Political Science. She has a Master degree in International Political Economy at Panteio University of Athens and a Bachelor degree in European and International Studies at University of Piraeus in Greece. She completed her Erasmus student exchange at the University of Maribor in Slovenia and her Erasmus placement at the Institute of Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin, Germany in 2013 and 2014 respectively.
She has gained an extensive experience as a researcher both in Greece and abroad. She participated in other MUNs in Thessaloniki, Greece and in Hague, Netherlands. Her main research areas are international relations,strategic studies , realism and international political economy.
The title of her PhD thesis is: A new approach to strategic partnerships, ''The Business Model'': The case of Russia and China.
